Case Narrative:
On Wednesday, September 11, 1985, the victim and his good friend Henry Godinez, were involved in a two kilo cocaine deal with three other subjects. As a result of the deal, the victim, George Savinon was killed. Mr. Godinez was charged with felony first degree murder and conspiracy to traffic in cocaine. Mr. Godinez was released pending trial, but never appeared in court. A warrant was issued on August 11, 1986 for Mr. Godinez, charging him with first degree murder and conspiracy to traffic in cocaine.

Thoughts? Henry Godinez was a fugitive I found through the archived Miami-Dade Police Department's 1998 page that I confirmed through the Florida warrants search as still being active. As far as what happened in this case, I will never encourage anyone to become a drug trafficker because of how dangerous it can be, but George Savinon is still a victim and his family deserves justice in his memory. After 31 years, Henry Godinez has to be Latin America somewhere if he's still alive.
