Authorities in St. Paul, Minnesota are searching for Epitacio Durate in connection with a double homicide. Duarte is also wanted by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) for dealing meth. Local and federal authorities entered an apartment on Oct 19, 2008 and found the bodies of Roberto Manriquez and Tomas Reyes-Mojica, the two fully-grown men had both been stranged to death. A friend of the two men said that they were killed two days before when there was a party at the apartment. Duarte was questioned about the two murders but denied any involvement, even though he admitted that he was at the party.
By the time authorities wanted to talk to Durate again, he cleared out his apartment and fled with his wife and infant in a tan Chevy Tahoe. They may have fled to Mexico. It should be noted that Duarte is only wanted for questioning in the double homicide but also is wanted on a federal drug warrant.
This case was brought up in the 2010 newspaper report on several wanted Minnesota fugitives. Perhaps I should profile more of them in the future.
