ANDPOINT, Idaho – Law enforcement in Bonner County said they are searching for a homicide suspect Wednesday night.
Law enforcement are searching for the suspect near Racetrack Road and Highway 95 just north of Sandpoint. They are asking people who live in the area to stay in their homes. If you see anything suspicious you are asked to call 911.
On Wednesday evening, police said they were seeking James P. Mancuso, 32, who is believed to be with 27-year-old Ashley Ford. Police believe Mancuso stabbed a man to death in Nampa, Idaho March 10. The stabbing happened around 5 p.m., when police said two men got into an argument in front of the garage of a home. Investigators said the fight escalated, and one of the men stabbed the other in the abdomen.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Mancuso for 2nd degree murder on Wednesday.
Police believe Mancuso is on foot in the Bonner County area, and he was seen there Wednesday evening.
Investigators found a 2009 blue Subaru Forester on Wednesday in the area. Investigators believe Mancuso and Ford had used the vehicle for several days.
Idaho State Police and the Bonner County Sheriff's Office are assisting with the search.

Thoughts? There are conflicting reports as to whether Ashley Ford is considered a missing person or a fugitive and I'm still unsure. I read one article that said initially she was charged with accessory, then a later article says it was changed to witness, then the most recent article I read says accessory again *sigh*. While not excusing anything Ashley did or didn't do and having no idea if she's with Mancuso willingly or not, Mancuso is obviously the main bad guy here, but finding Ashley is also important towards locating him.
UPDATE: Ashley Ford arrested in Las Vegas. James Mancuso is still at large.
