WEAR — The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man wanted for sex crimes against a child.
Christopher Jason Traffanstead, 39, is wanted for two counts of sexual assault and one count of lewd lascivious behavior.
Sergeant Rich Aloy, public information office for the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office said this is one of worst sexual abuse cases against a child he has seen.
"It's an extremely graphic report," Aloy said. "The details of this case are just unimaginable."
For the last month, Sgt. Aloy said investigators have been gathering enough evidence to arrest Traffanstead on sexual assault charges.
On March 31, Traffanstead's alleged victim finally had enough courage to tell investigators about multiple instances of abuse.
Sgt. Aloy said that information lead authorities to search Traffandstead's home in Gulf Breeze.
"What we found at the location justified the information that was given to us by the victim," Sgt. Aloy said. "We were looking for both physical evidence at the location as well as anything that was corroborated by the victim."
In the report, the victim stated Traffanstead did "sexual stuff."
The victim said "he threw me on the bed in his room and started doing stuff to me."
Traffanstead made the victim wear "weird underwear" or diapers.
He would also feed the victim "weird candy things" that would make the victim feel dizzy and lightheaded.
In addition, Traffanstead is accused of putting his hands and mouth on the victim's genitals.
The abuse would sometimes include sex toys, lubricants, and handcuffs.
The report stated Traffanstead would try to hide the abuse by placing the child in an ice bath to conceal the redness.
Whenever there were visible injuries or bruises the child would not go out in public.
Sgt. Aloy said, "An individual like this, you just don't know what he's capable of."
Traffanstead is 6'1", weighs 235 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Traffanstead had been arrested for child abuse in October 2015.

Thoughts? Obviously, this is a SICKENING case (our second breaking news case of a fugitive wanted for alleged sickening sex crimes today) and I really hope Traffanstead is caught before he gets the chance to allegedly abuse another child.
