On Friday, July 24, 2015, at approximately 5:38 PM, San Jose Police officers responded to the 3000 block of Oakbridge Dr. on a person shot. Several callers reported they heard multiple shots and a male was lying on the street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim, later identified as Danh Nguyen, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The suspect(s) have not been identified. The suspect vehicle has not been located.
The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to help identify the suspect(s) that gunned down 61 year old Danh Nguyen as he was returning to his home at the Woodbridge Mobile Home Park. The victim Nguyen, a Vietnam veteran having served in the Republic of Vietnam Airborne Division Angels in Red Hats, was walking westbound on Lexann Avenue just west of Towers Lane when the suspect(s) approached and fired multiple rounds at him.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Guire or Detective Tran of the San Jose Police Departments Homicide Unit at 408-277-5283. Thoughts? This cases where veterans fight for our country only to be murdered back home are extremely sad. The big question is who would want to harm someone like Nguyen.
