Crime Solvers Seeks Suspect in the Murder of Sherry Culp and her Child
Nine years ago on January 16, 1998, 36-year-old Sherry Ann Culp of Stafford was shot to death. About 6:00 p.m. that Friday, Sherry was leaving her work place in the area of Dynatech Court and Cameron Brown Court in the Fullerton Industrial Park when she was shot in the upper body. Sherry, who was eight and one half months pregnant, was pronounced dead a short time later at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Her baby was delivered by cesarean section, but died two days later. Detectives are still following leads they have received and continue to look for a man seen in a newer model maroon Ford Ranger pickup truck, which was parked nearby on Fullerton Court just prior to the shooting. He was described as white, in his thirties, about six feet tall with sandy brown hair. In addition, they would also like to speak to a man seen at a Landmark Mall restaurant talking to Sherry’s husband prior to the murder.
Anyone who may have information about this incident, the two men or the truck is asked to call Fairfax County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. In addition to the $1000 cash reward being offered by Crime Solvers, the family of Sherry Culp is offering an additional reward, which was recently increased, of $50,500 for information which leads to an arrest and indictment.

A 2013 article is the most recent article that says the case is still unsolved. The article discusses the positives and negatives in Sherry's parents lives since the horrific tragedy in 1998.
