Nahum Zapata is wanted for a 1992 homicide out of Newburgh, New York. Here is a snippet from a 2002 article that was later updated in 2010 about his case summary. "The oldest case is the 1992 shooting death of Humberto Carrillo, 31. He was reportedly cut off in traffic at the corner of South William Street and Walsh's Road and killed execution-style by a single gunshot just after — p.m., June 15, that year. The suspect, Nahum Zapata, allegedly thought his wife and Carrillo were having an affair. Zapata, now 48, eluded an intense manhunt in the days after the shooting, including a search of an apartment on Blooming Grove Turnpike in New Windsor where he was believed to be staying. A tip almost a year later that he was staying at a Town of Newburgh house proved fruitless." --- Thoughts? Nahum was another fugitive I found on an archived law enforcement website, and I later verified through the online article that he was wanted up to at least 2010. Since he's been wanted since 1992, I can say with approx. 90% accuracy that he's still wanted. Sadly the only photo we have of Nahum is pretty bad in quality so it's going to be difficult to locate him. Based on archived law enforcement websites, it is our advice that anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Nahum Zapata contact the Newburgh (New York) Police Department: www.cityofnewburgh-ny.gov/policeAlso any news-related updates on this case can be forwarded to us at amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form www.recordonline.com/article/20020112/news/301129994

If you think your wife is having an affair with someone, perhaps it's a good idea to ask one or both of them before shooting them. (And then don't shoot them regardless of what they say). With just a grainy photo, who knows, could be hiding in plain sight.

I no longer see Zapata on the Newburgh p.d. website, but since there havemt been any recent articles about him, I think it's safe to reasonably assume that he is still wanted as of this posting date. (4/7/2018).
