Carlsbad PD Case No: 96-3751
Suspect: Barrera. German Lopez
DOB: 7/21/72 or 7/12/72
Height: 5'9
Weight: 170 lbs
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
AKA: Lopez, German Barrera
On 5/18/96, the bodies of two Hispanic males were found in a migrant camp. Both had been shot multiple times with a high powered rifle. Investigation has led to the below named subject who is now wanted for questioning in this case. There is also probable cause to arrest for 496.1 PC, Possession of Stolen Property. Subject has a prior arrest for 459 PC, Auto Burglary, and is believed to be a Mexican National. The photos shown below were originally taken in 1992, but are believed to accurately represent his appearance.

Thoughts? German Lopez Barrera was another fugitive I found on an archived law enforcement website. In this case, I verified his still active warrant through the San Diego County warrants search. Even though he has not been charged to date with the two murders, he still needs to be further questioned about them at least. Problem is that the photo we have of him are 24-years old, but the link provides gives good photos of his tattoos on his arms.
