(Above photo credits: arkansasonline.com via Little Rock Police Department) Nearly a month after her disappearance, the family of a missing Little Rock 18-year-old is offering a $3,000 reward for information regarding her whereabouts. Ebby Jane Steppach was last contacted by phone about 2 p.m. Oct. 24 before she was reported missing Oct. 26, according to Little Rock police. Steppach's vehicle, a silver 2003 Volkswagen Passat with a license plate of 137UFM, was found less than a week later, authorities said. Police declined to provide further information regarding where the vehicle was found. Little Rock Police Department officer Richard Hilgeman said, at this time, authorities have not received an indication of foul play in Steppach's disappearance. She is described as standing 5 feet 2 inches tall, having blond hair and weighing 110 pounds. A Facebook group has also been set up with information from family members as well as posts from those close to Steppach. Anyone with information is asked to call the Little Rock Police Department at (501) 404-3041 or (501) 371-4636. Information can also be sent via email to findebbyjane@gmail.com. www.arkansasonline.com/news/2015/nov/18/missing-little-rock-18-year-olds-family-offers-300/NCMEC link: www.missingkids.com/poster/NCMC/1276512/1/screenThoughts? I found that Facebook group and unfortunately Ebby is still missing. I also see a link to a story about human trafficking on that website, so I am assuming the family fears that is a possibility: www.facebook.com/groups/527410417434961/**********UPDATE**********Sadly, in May 2018, remains found in a Little Rock park were identified as belonging to Ebby Steppach. Her case is now said to be a homicide investigation. **********UPDATE**********Admin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Moving Ebby's case to "Missing on TV" since the syndicated crime show "Crime Watch Daily" did a segment on her disappearance earlier in the week. Ebby's mother was interviewed and confirms her fearing Ebby may have been forced into sex trafficking. The security guard at the party where Ebby was last seen in an interview with Crime Watch Daily identifies two men he saw with Abby days prior to her disappearance who are from the Shreveport, Louisiana area but have ties to Arkansas. The two men are facing human trafficking charges in Louisiana. It is stressed they have not been named suspects or even persons of interest publicly by Little Rock P.D. crimewatchdaily.com/2017/05/25/crime-watch-daily-joins-hunt-for-missing-little-rock-teen-ebby-steppach/

Authorities have officially declared Ebby's death a homicide so I will move her case to the unsolved on TV section. Also apparently Ebby's friend's mother and others complained about a foul odor coming from the storm drain where Ebby was found DAYS after her car was found and Ebby's mother's friend reminded police about the smell TWO YEARS AGO. I'm not one to criticize law enforcement usually on this site (admittedly its primarily because I've needed to work with them on something on occasion and not because I think they're perfect) but I don't see how you can say anything else than Little Rock police dropped the ball and Ebby should have been found much sooner. I hope they still have some excellent detectives working on Ebby's case, but unfortunately the agony continues for her loved ones in getting some sort of finality (there is never "closure" since closure would be Ebby coming back alive, but a final sense of peace that besides Ebby being found and having a proper place to mourn her that her killer or killers also receive justice). Even if they do get that final sense of peace, it could have happened perhaps already had Ebby's mother's friend and others not been brushed off. www.thv11.com/mobile/video/news/investigations/friends-of-ebby-steppach-question-how-lrpd-handled-the-case/91-8139856katv.com/news/local/dead-teens-loved-ones-question-little-rock-police
