(Above photo credit: Florida Highway Patrol Most Wanted website) From Florida Highway Patrol Most Wanted website: Eric John Riters was traveling northbound on SR 423 at a high rate of speed. He lost control of his vehicle and struck a legally stopped vehicle that was westbound on 33rd Street. The front of Riters' vehicle struck the driver's door of the stopped vehicle. The collision caused fatal injuries to the driver and two occupants of the stopped vehicle. Riters was legally intoxicated and operating his vehicle at approximately 97 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone when this crash occurred. Riters has three active warrants for DUI Manslaughter. Anyone with information on Ritters whereabouts is asked to contact FHP Orlando Troop D at 407-737-2300 ext 1043 or E-Mail FHP. www.flhsmv.gov/florida-highway-patrol/specialized-areas/most-wanted-fugitives/ (Scroll down for Riters case) Thoughts? According to a 2002 article, the initial tally of Riters' deadly wreck was 2 dead and 4 injured, so someone must have passed away after the original article: articles.orlandosentinel.com/2002-11-09/news/0211090227_1_riters-monroe-pickup-truckAlso, Riters was previously cited in civil court for careless driving in 1999 and forced to pay a small court fee. Not the most serious infraction, but a sign of the tragedy to the come because of a guy who apparently didn't learn his lesson the first time: myeclerk.myorangeclerk.com/CaseDetails?caseId=2900926&caseIdEnc=urWAplTBwKosQUetuc6PD6y5uyN1FkzKhcWjBRfHULWmHTlS9nxEUcfaROoV6r3uB6hAmlcVzl4CKw5TVfCIuA%3D%3DAdmin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

I checked on Newslibrary and Newspaper.com and I'm surprised that there's only been that one 2002 article on a triple dui manslaughter case. I'm concerned there's never been much a national priority to locate someone wanted for causing three deaths. AMW may have had a real shot at capturing Eric if they aired him during the 2000s decade.

Let's hope that lead is true. The families of the people he killed with his reckless choices have been denied justice for far too long.

Glad to the see the age-enhanced images done. I am going to be really annoyed if Eric Riters has managed to hide out in Florida for all this time despite his extremely heinous charges.

Riters is our case of the week for the week of October 20th-26th. Considering the recent possible sightings in St. Augustine, Florida, this is a solvable case despite Riters' 17-ish years on the run.

IMO,he's gotten help staying on the run, most likely from family members who think what he did was an "accident" instead of the crime it is.

As John Walsh said in the Chris Ponce case on The Hunt, make no mistake, it's a crime.

As John Walsh said in the Chris Ponce case on The Hunt, make no mistake, it's a crime. Sad to say but there are way,way too many people who think otherwise which is why DUI crashes are on the rise again.

He is visiting family or friends. If nothing else,he is certainly getting help to stay on the run this long.
