Brezniak 410-222-3588 or 410-222-8631Heather Johnson was profiled last year on AMW on Lifetime's "Bad Girls" special. Johnson was in a relationship with her boyfriend Bobby Haislip. They met at the strip club where Johnson was working as an exotic dancer. According to her re-enactment after realizing cash was missing from her house, she accused Haislip of taking it, and hired a couple of men to beat and torture him. Haislip survived, and now according to AMW she is wanted for attempted murder. According to the re-enactment, she also allgedly called and threatened Haislip after the crime. It's believed Johnson may still be stripping anywhere in the country. What's really bizarre about this case is some sites, including missingkids.com and the doe network list her as a missing person and NOT a fugitive. Although you can say technically she's both. web.archive.org/web/20120922234755/http://www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=79714www.missingkids.com/missingkids/servlet/PubCaseSearchServlet?act=viewPoster&caseNum=99740497&orgPrefix=USMD&searchLang=en_USdoenetwork.org/cases/2156dfmd.htmlUPDATE: As of July 24th, 2018, Johnson is still on the Doe Network website (see above link) and also still listed as "Missing" on the missingkids.org website: api.missingkids.org/poster/USMD/99740497Admin Note: If you have any news-related udpates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

After her last AMW profile, you (I think) mentioned that AMW said tips placed her stripping in California and Miami. Given the length she's been on the run for it's certainly possible. I admit I missed replying to this thread when you first posted it however I just wanted to say I had issues with AMW's supposed sightings. It's rather coincidental they specifically mentioned California and Miami. Especially when you see that the DoeNetwork mentions she may have been seen in Atlantic City, New Jersey. To me she never left the Mid-Atlantic region of the US. I just feel she looks very little like she did when she was 19, now that she's in her early-mid 30s, she could have dyed her hair or cut it or just gotten older. You also mentioned she probably is too old for the stripping occupation so she may have graduated to prostitution. I can actually see her working in or managing an escort service business. doenetwork.org/cases/2156dfmd.html

I believe I put "graduated" in quotation marks when I mentioned it, lol.
I can definitely see her running an escort service.
I think AMW knows the tips they receive may not necessarily be accurate. It's just they mention everything they get to explore all angles.
Remember the lead about Zane Mason as a homeless meth addict in Florida? He was captured in Sacramento, California weeks later. Doesn't mean he wasn't in Florida at one point, but it seems a lot of time AMW practices the "throw it up against the wall and see what sticks" theory.

Heather Johnson is no longer on the FBI's website. Yet she's still listed as a missing person on Missingkids.com and the Doe Network. Wonder what's up with that.

The FBI sometimes takes down fugitives and other cases from their website because I'm guessing they aren't actively investigating the cases. The same thing recently happened with Henry Enriquez.

Could be. Although this latest development inspired me to search over any court records I could find regarding Heather Johnson, and I found one involving a co-defendant named Dean "Dino" Pantazes. I can't believe I never found this before, but from further research I learned Panatzes was a bail bondsman (the court case I think was him owing the money for Johnson's bond), and he was looking for Heather Johnson for skipping out on him. This same Pantazes was also eventually convicted of hiring a prostitute to kill his wife, Clara Pantazes Apparently some of those who defended Pantazes said they saw him flashing money to people who knew he was looking for Heather, and that could have made his house for a robbery that ended up in his wife's murder. The prostitute, Jermel Chambers, claimed to be someone who could help find Heather. In exchange for her testimony, she was sentenced to life in prison rather than possibly facing the death penalty. Despite his family and even Clara's family steadfastly behind him and believing in his innocence, Pantazes was convicted not just once, but twice, and sentenced to life in prison. The Pantazes case was profiled on "True Crime With Tamron Hall" and a link to the transcript is below. I don't know if there could be a connection with why Heather has never been found and Pantazes/Chambers, but wow. This is the argument for The Hunt expanding on cases, since despite Heather Johnson being given a profile, these facts were never mentioned on AMW. www.allreadable.com/edbb5Lo2

Reading up more on the Pantazes case and starting to realize how controversial the conviction(s) was/were. Apparently even his wife's (the victim's) family believed in his innocence and the Tamron Hall transcript seems to indicate many believe he was innocent as well. Generally the rule on this forum, is all fugitives are innocent until proven guilty. However, once convicted, you're proven guilty and I can be as brutally honest as I want. However, of course, there are exceptions to any rule, and not ALL 100 percent of those convicted are actually guilty. Most, probably. But not all. In this case, Pantazes was convicted twice, but I have seen cases with guys convicted twice later cleared by DNA or other evidence, and this case still seems controversial. This is another reason to want to see Heather Johnson caught since it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out since it is said she knew the prostitute prosecutors said Dean hired to kill his wife, it means Heather Jonson could potentially have information on this case. So locating her can either A) Help potentially clear a wrongfully convicted man or B) Help put to rest any doubts of Pantazes's guilt. So hopefully someone still has info on Johnson and can turn her in. I'm not sure if this is an FBI case anymore (sometimes even if no longer on their website, the FBI can still take tips on a case), so I put the missing poster phone numbers in the profile. www.washingtontimes.com/news/2000/dec/8/20001208-013439-9296r/?page=all
