"On the evening of June 9th, 1997 officers of the Denver Police Department were called to 3931 Navajo Street on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival,responding officers were directed to a secluded area within the home. It was at this time that Federico “Fred” Gutierrez was discovered within the home’s crawlspace suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. Federico Gutierrez was immediately transported to a local hospital, but died a short time later. During the course of the follow-up investigation it was learned that an associate of victim Federico Gutierrez, subsequently identified as Samuel Lopez (pictured above), became involved in a verbal dispute with the victim while in the home’s basement. The verbal argument escalated to the point where Samuel Lopez shot Federico Gutierrez. After the shooting, Samuel Lopez fled the area. He was last seen driving a purple colored truck. Currently, a warrant for Samuel Lopez’s arrest has been issued for Investigation of First Degree Murder. Anyone having additional information on this case or knowledge of the current whereabouts of Samuel Lopez is asked to call Crime Stoppers."

Thoughts? It's now been nearly 20 years later and still no sign of Samuel Lopez apparently. All I know is while they don't say what the verbal argument was about, I'm 100 percent sure it wasn't worth ending someone's life over. All that's available is a photo from 1997, which makes it even more hard to catch Lopez if he fled the country. However, one thing I've learned over the years is I've seen plenty of fugitive with grainy decades old or longer photos caught because there's always been someone who have known where they were for all the years on the run and finally comes forward. Hopefully that happens one day in this case.
