On 12/20/1989 Tamara Moats (39 years old) was murdered in the area of Clifton Ct and Lancaster Dr in Walnut Creek, CA. Tamara had been severely beaten and strangled. Through Walnut Creek Police Department’s investigation we were ultimately able to identify a suspect in this case. In 1995 we identified Arturo Ochoa Sanchez as a suspect in this homicide. In 1995 we obtained a one million dollar murder warrant for Sanchez. Records reveal Sanchez was deported in July of 1990 to Mexico via Calexico, CA.
Walnut Creek Police Department is working with the US Marshall’s Office, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and INTERPOL at an attempt to locate Sanchez.

Thoughts? The good news is that we know who the suspect is in this cold case, the bad news is that our last confirmed sighting of him was in 1990 when he was deported to Mexico. It's possible that he returned to the USA at one point but we really would need an age-enhanced photo of him since he would be 48-years old now.
Also, it's becoming increasingly rarer to see fugitives on the run as long as Arturo Ochoa Sanchez listed on local Law Enforcement websites so credit to the Walnut Creek Police Department for still covering him.
