According to this article below here is what happened the day she went missing: "Tabitha Tuders departed her residence on Lillian Street in east Nashville on April 28, 2003 at about 7:50am, walked north on South 14th, turned down Boscobel to catch her school bus, and from there … no one knows. She never made it to Bailey Middle School, where she was a student. She never came home. Witnesses can place her walking to the bus stop, but the witness who swears he saw her get into a vehicle has been called “unreliable” by law enforcement. Tabitha was not one to disrespect her family or run away from home. She did not drink, use drugs, or even try cigarettes. She was polite and a bit shy." The article was written by a journalist who says they have been working on the Tuders case 24/7 since 2009. She left a link for anyone with information to contact her in her article. www.charleyproject.org/cases/t/tuders_tabitha.htmlCharley Project lists some pretty interesting information regarding Tabitha's disappearance. -- A neighbourhood boy claims he saw Tabitha getting into a red car driven by a black male 30-40 years-of-age. Tabitha's sister's boyfriend apparently matches the description of the driver. -- A piece of paper was located in her room reading in her handwriting, "T.D.T. - N - M.T.L." TDT are Tabitha's initials but the identity of MTL remains a mystery. A business card was also found with Tabitha's name, personal information and "call me" along with "sexy girl" crossed out and re-written with "ghetto girl". The card was given to her by a friend and while that didn't have a connection to her disappearance I wonder why she was given the card in the first place. -- Police pulled the logs from a local computer library where she visited internet chat rooms. No information was found. -- On Oct 30, 2003, there was a "possible sighting" by a trucker in Linton, Indiana where he claimed to see a teenage girl similar in appearance to Tabitha being afraid with an older man and another teenage girl. A hotel clerk in the same community also reported a similar sighting. There's some more infomration provided by Charley Project but I doubt it has any meaning to her case. I also checked her thread on the popular crime forum Websleuths and there are some indications that she may have been sold into sex slavery. Part of me wonders if she had any influences in her life that may have led her to the path of prostitution (perhaps her sister's boyfriend). Websleuths has an article mention from a 2010 post(the article no longer exists) that a woman on a Las Vegas escort website looked similar to Tabitha.
