The San Miguel Sheriff's Office, in Telluride, Colorado, is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Mr. Ulises Omar Felix, 33, formerly of Norwood Colorado.
Felix is wanted on a felony warrant for his part in an armed robbery and home invasion that happened September 6, 2011.
Felix is believed to have ties in Phoenix and Cottonwood, Arizona areas. He is known to have ties in the Douglas area, and is believed to have relatives with land in or around Agua Prieta.
Felix is believed to have been one of two men who, dressed entirely in camouflage, their faces hidden under masks and armed with AK-47 style weapons, stormed a mostly-undeveloped plat of land west of the town of Norwood, Colorado and captured first two, then three people there, binding them holding them captive at gunpoint, and assaulting them for more than twelve hours, during which time the suspects ransacked the two small trailers on the lot, and chopped down and stole the 25 still-immature marijuana plants the residents of the land were growing, legally, under Colorado's Medical Marijuana laws.
Both men were aided in their endeavors by Felix’s common-law wife and mother of his two children, Ms. Ashley Cynthia Montalvo and his sister, Brisa Marie Felix-Gonzalez.
Both Montalvo and Felix-Rodriguez were identified and arrested. They served their sentenced jail-time, and have since been released on supervised probation.
Montalvo absconded on her probation at the end of May 2012 and a $25,000.00 bond warrant has been issued for her arrest.
A vehicle belonging to Montalvo was discovered abandoned, in Rimrock, Az. Montalvo is believed to have absconded from her probation with her two under aged children, and is thought to have left to join Felix, either in southern Arizona or in Mexico.
The San Miguel Sheriff's Office in Telluride, Colorado is offering a $2000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of Felix.
People who believe they may have seen either Felix or Montalvo are urged not to attempt to contact or apprehend them, but instead to contact their local police agency to report the sighting.
Anyone with other information which might assist in locating Felix is urged to call the San Miguel Sheriff's Office, at 970-729-1911.
All calls will remain anonymous.

Thoughts? A couple of technical notes first- In addition to the San Miguel Sheriff's Office, you can also contact your local FBI field office or American Embassy or Consulate with tips on the case. Also, Ashley Montalvo's state warrant was 2012, and federal warrant was 2013, but I still feel justified in putting 2011 as the wanted year for her too since that's the year of the case she violated probation in.
Anyway, I guess the debate here is whether Felix and Montalvo could have fled to Arizona or are they in Mexico. As we've seen in so many cases the answer is both. David Ruiz, an AMW aired fugitive from Texas believed to be in Arizona or Mexico was recently caught trying to cross back.
UPDATE: Ashley Montalvo appeared in a California court on June 14th, 2024 after being captured the day before. At that time, Ulises Felix remained still at large.
