From the FBI's website:
"On February 1, 1991, victim Peggy Cox, who had turned 49 years old that day, was working the drive-thru window at the Hardee's Restaurant located at 1315 Murfreesboro Road in Franklin, Tennessee. At approximately 11:45 p.m., Cox received a food order at her drive-thru station. When the vehicle arrived at the window, Cox was fatally shot with a small caliber weapon. The assailant drove off without taking anything of value from the restaurant.
Cox's son, who was also working at the restaurant at the time of the murder, heard gunshots and found his mother lying near the drive-thru window. Cox was taken to the hospital, where she died from a single gunshot wound to the neck.
Despite law enforcement efforts, this case remains unsolved."
Thoughts? This case had an article from tennessean.com linked to from Unsolved Mysteries' official Twitter page but I don't see it on their website and don't know if it was ever aired on the show itself. So I have Cox in the forum exclusive unsolved section for now but if anyone knows if her case was aired on a national crime show, and I'll move it to the appropriate section.
Unfortunately, this case has more questions than answers 24 years later, as the article from tenneseean.com mentions a lot of dead ends.
