GREENSBORO, N.C. — It’s been almost one week since Danielle Williams last saw her daughter 19-year-old Tyarra Cacique Williams.
“It’s my worst nightmare,” Williams said. “My heart hurts and all I want to do is sit in a ball and cry.”
The last time Williams saw her daughter was Thursday, Jan. 7.
They were making plans to buy books at GTCC where Tyarra was supposed to start classes next week.
“She was ready to get back into school and move forward,” Williams said. “This was a big event in her life that she was looking forward to.”
Williams says Tyarra left later that evening, saying she was going to visit a friend and that she’d be back in an hour.
It was the last time anyone saw her. She was last seen on 8:30 p.m in the area of the Stoneybrook Apartments after walking away from some friends.
Greensboro police have begun conducting interviews regarding her disappearance and have determined suspicious circumstances now exist and that foul play may be involved.
“Nobody’s heard from her no friends, no family,” said the mother.
It’s the kind of behavior Williams says that’s unlike Tyarra.
“She’s never ever, ever been away 24 hours without us knowing where she is or hearing from her,” Williams said.
Williams reported her missing the next day.
She’s been reaching out to her daughter’s friends on social media and putting up flyers to try to bring Tyarra home.
Anyone with information is asked to call Greensboro Crime Stoppers at (336) 373-1000.

Thoughts? Unfortunately, Tyarra's disappearance is very concerning based on how unusual it would seem according to Tyarra's mother for her to just disappear without telling anyone- along with her disappearing at night time a week ago.
