Ok Chris I finally finished the episode. You did a great job!
I am even more infuriated though. What guilty person demands their own murder investigation! Not to mention they had ruled Christina's death natural causes. If Bart was guilty, he wouldn't have said anything!
I am encouraged to hear about the recent hearings though. Do you think there is a chance a judge may say "screw a new trial, I'm tossing the conviction outright" thus setting Bart free once and for all?

To Bart’s family, I just saw the news that Bart was denied a new trial. I am incredibly outraged and truly believe in his innocence. I am tired of technicalities taking precedence over common sense. I hope the appeal works- but you shouldn’t have had to suffer yet additional aggravation and heartbreak. I am so sorry but hope finally finally one day Bart can be free. www.25newsnow.com/2024/02/09/mcneils-request-new-trial-denied/

Agree with scumhunter on this my thoughts and prayers go out to mr McNeils family sometimes depending on which state it's in it can be very tricky to get someone exonerated I hope barts family can reunited with him and bart McNeil family I appreciate that the gentleman who helped put this case on the Illinois innocence project and for bringing this case to the foreground of wrongful conviction and let's hope Illinois frees him because I firmly believe he's innocent

Esquire Magazine did a story on Bart that is in this March/April issue of Esquire now at news stands. Below is a link to the article. Barton McNeil remains in jail. The lower court judge recently ruled against his being granted a new trial despite Misook's DNA being found in the Christina's bedding. The two innocence projects now intend to appeal his case to the appeals court. The Esquire Magazine article caught the attention of YouTuber Dr. Todd Grande with 1.4 million subscribers. Hi Chris thank you again and I am so sorry you are still battling to at least get Bart a free trial. I’ve seen convictions thrown out even for a lot less than this. Very frustrating and I can’t imagine but I appreciate that you are still fighting and will never give up.

Hey Chris saw you guys were at CrimeCon nice work.
It is so frustrating that more than half of the cases we’ve profiled on here have resulted in exonerations or new trials but Bart’s case which is the one I’m the most passionate about and one of in my opinion the most slam dunk obviously innocent cases in this section is for some reason the case that judges have decided to throw out common sense and be hard asses about.
Like I said I’ve seen convictions thrown out for a lot less.
