From fugitivekillers.com:
"Juan Julio Ramirez is most wanted for a vicious stabbing of 60-year-old man in Macdona, Texas on May 29, 2009. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office obtained a warrant for Ramirez arrest on charges of murder the day after Dennis Iker died in Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
Purportedly, Iker was associated with Ramirez. Both men and another individual had been together the night before the murder when Ramirez stole Iker's Mercedes Benz. The next day, Iker borrowed a red SUV and attempted to retrieve the stolen car from Ramirez home. When Iker arrived at 10320 Allian Drive, Ramirez stabbed Iker multiple times before he could even get out of the vehicle. Iker then managed to drive away from his attacker, but then crashed the SUV into a tree nearby.
After the auto crash, Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the accident, Iker was transported to Wilford Hall Medical Center and unfortunately died of the injuries inflected by Ramirez. Moreover, the Bexar County medical examiner's office ruled Dennis Iker died of a particular stab wound that pierced his profunda femoris artery in his upper thigh.
Juan Julio Ramirez apparently fled the crime scene of the homicide. However, on June 5, 2009, Ramirez resurfaced when he attempted to steal three cases of beer from a Southwest Side gas station. Although the robbery was foiled, Ramirez managed to escape capture. During the robbery the store's clerk attempted to restrain Ramirez. As the two men began to fight, a Bexar County deputy pulled into the gas station for coffee. Ramirez seeing the deputy attempted to leave the store, but the deputy met Ramirez at the door, and they then began to fight. During the struggle, the deputy injured his knee on the curb, giving Ramirez time to get into a truck, which he had also stolen. Attempting to run over the deputy with truck, Ramirez fled the gas station. Meanwhile, the Deputy managed to fire several rounds at the truck's tires, puncturing one of them, but Ramirez still drove off on the wheel rim.
Afterward, Sheriff's deputies followed the scrapes in the road's asphalt from the truck's wheel rim to where Ramirez had abandoned the truck. The truck was then identified as having been stolen from the city of Live Oaks, Texas. Ramirez had successfully evaded arrest."
Thoughts? I'm rather surprised this case never made AMW considering Ramirez allegedly shot at a Sheriff's deputy in 2009 and the show was on for three more years after that. As far as potential whereabouts, well he did stay in the San Antonio area before. So while Mexico is always a possibility, it wouldn't surprise me if he was still hiding in plain sight in the San Antonio area even seven years later.
