JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
After two months, a Jackson family is frustrated that police have not made an arrest in the murder of their child. Three-year-old Armon Burton was sleeping when he was hit by bullets in a drive-by shooting.
Twenty-two bullet holes are marked. Behind the wall is where Burton was sleeping. Around midnight, May 22, someone carried out what police call a senseless drive by shooting. The child took a bullet and died.
His mother, Erica Bracey, told us Wednesday she was at work.
"They were asleep. They don't even know," said Bracey. "They just know they woke up to bullets coming in the house flying in the house."
Two months have passed and the family is frustrated that no one is behind bars Erica Bracey said Wednesday,
"So you need to be trying to lock somebody up," said Bracey. "You got enough information to lock somebody up and I just want them to do their job."
We are told the murder started over an argument about a dog. Two cars pulled up and shots were fired around 8 p.m.
Then someone drove by at midnight and unloaded a hail of bullets into the home.
"I want the people that killed my baby to be locked up that's what I want," said Bracey. "I want justice for my son. I believe that somebody knows somebody, on the police force, somebody is with somebody. These police are trying to basically point the blame."
Police tell us they have talked with several people. They are following all leads in this investigation.

Thoughts? Once again while this case is still unfortunately unsolved, the argument that led to Armon winding up getting hit by fatal bullets was over a DOG. Let that sink in for a moment. Because I've always said on here, even though this is a message board where we like to "sleuth" and come up with theories that may help solve a case, some times there are cases where it's really not a matter of sleuthing but someone who knows exactly the person who committed the murder doing the right thing and stepping forward. I feel this is one of the cases. Someone must know exactly who killed Armon and hasn't stepped forward yet. No three-year old deserves to be murdered, especially over a dog.
