(Above Photo Credit: ABC News) From CBS Crimesider: MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- Authorities in Muskogee are searching for a murder suspect who escaped from the county jail. Jail administrators say 24-year-old Paul Newberry escaped with another inmate from the Muskogee County jail late Sunday. Authorities say the pair made it onto the jail's roof after breaking a window, then jumped off and ran away. The second inmate, 36-year-old Raymond Noriega, was captured in Muskogee shortly after the escape. He was initially being held on charges of uttering a forged instrument, reports CBS affiliate KWTV. Newberry is accused in the July killing of 88-year-old rancher Charley Kirk. He's charged with first-degree murder with deliberate intent, robbery and burglary, among other charges. Cherokee County authorities say Newberry confessed to robbing and murdering Kirk, reports the station. Authorities say Newberry was last seen wearing a dark-colored, long-sleeve sweatshirt and gray shorts. Anyone who has information about Newberry's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Muskogee County tipline at 918-687-1275.www.cbsnews.com/news/manhunt-for-paul-newberry-murder-suspect-who-escaped-oklahoma-jail/Admin Note: If you have any updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form
