On August 17th, 2012, AMW profiled the case of the Unknown Mike Surber Killer on their Facebook-request episode. Surber was known by his nickname of "Biloxi Mike." On November 10th, 2009 a man who used the name "Jericho" Cooper showed up at Skeeter's Pool Hall in Gulfport, Mississippi. On AMW, his friends described the man as not a good pool player and when were surprised when he left the bar with Mike since he gave them the creeps. Biloxi Mike was a legendary pool player and it seems odd he wasn't suspicious of this man.
Friends became concerned when Mike's vehicle was left at Skeeter's for two days. They later found him murdered in his Ocean Springs, MS home.
This is a case we should really want to see solved since on the old AMW.com forums, one of Mike's friends was a poster who talked about the case before it even appeared on AMW's website. Him and friends eventually got the case on AMW.com, and eventually on the air. I was just a lurker at the time, but I take it a few of us may have actually talked to him on the forum.
There are a lot of good clues, the alias "Jericho Cooper", the pretty good picture on surveillance, and other people saw Mike with his mysterious figure before his death. I remember on the AMW airing, authorities said they had a feeling Cooper was a ex-con. This is not an impossible case to solve, and while I once again remind everyone this is just a fan message board, I implore anyone with any information to call authorities.
