This thread is for whenever AMW posts important announcements or imminent captures on facebook. And today, AMW has announced a direct capture in the works! I always get giddy like a little kid when I read these announcements. Can't wait to see who it is!

AMW and John Walsh Facebook announcement! Walsh will be on Piers Morgan tonight at 9 CNN! Walsh says it's to commemorate the one-month anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy. And I'm sure he'll talk about the NRA as well. I'm hoping but not holding my breath he'll also announce a return date for AMW, but I was let down when he was on Katie Couric last month. I won't be home tonight to watch it and will have to watch it DVR'ed tomorrow, so if anyone sees it tonight, I won't be annoyed at all if you post any spoilers.  |

Sooo... I've been noticing on the facebook page that some people have been saying the show is coming back in March. I cant find anything that supports that they are returning in March. I am very hope full that it does. I was just wondering If I have missed anything or if anyone knew where this information was posted.

I have no idea why people say that. I dont know if this is the reason but I googled something like amw when does it return in 2013 and saw a link to amw on lifetime that under it said "season 7 returns in march" Obviously, AMW has been on for many more seasons on fox, and many less seasons on lifetime. I clicked on the link and an ad for the client list, which does return in March was under the page for AMW. This is only an assumption, but I'm thinking people got tricked by Googling.
AMW's first Lifetime season was 44 episodes. So the first week of March is the latest it can debut to have 44 episodes in 2013. Unless they plan on going from March to January of next year.

Well AMW was originally brought on for 22 episodes then later 22 more were ordered from Lifetime. I did hear a podcast saying that lifetime may be planning to run John Walsh Investigates alongside America's Most Wanted.

Fair point. If it's the same podcast I listened to, I was the one who actually told them about John Walsh Investigates. JWI by all accounts is supposed to debut in February so by logic AMW would probably debut before March as well. |

I just realized it was Army Wives and not Client List that was returning in March advertised right under the AMW page but nevertheless I'm fairly confident that is why people are claiming AMW's back in March.
People google but don't read fully. I just had to correct a guy telling people AMW was renwed for 20 episodes. He kept referring to their 20-episode pick-up last year.
While I don't blame people entirely for not reading carefully, what I don't get is these Facebook posters who believe anything another poster posts without any proof. "AMW's returning in March"- 5 likes. "AMW renewed for 20 episodes"- 5 likes "AMW and Lifetime are in a dispute with Fox"- 5 likes. "AMW is now on A&E- Fridays at 6"-5 likes. "AMW is now on TLC, and Honey Boo Boo is the new host"- 10 likes.
It's really quite amazing and scary.

A bit off-topic but I just realized my theory as to why posters claimed AMW was returning in March was apparently true! I saw someone post on Lifetime's Facebok page AMW came back Sunday night which is of course not true. Obviously, a bunch of people with poor reading skills saw other shows coming back in March (Amry Wives, Client List, etc.) advertised under AMW's page and thought it was referring to AMW.
Also, anyone surprised AMW's yet to have a capture off Facebook yet? Or at least it seems that way. I criticized them last year on the old AMW.com forums because besides fugitives for the week of the show, they would only show fugitives from the big "lists" such as FBI, Dirty Dozen, that have proven difficult to catch. They must have listened to bme because I think their case selection for fugitive of the day has vastly improved. They're showing more recently aired but not too popular fugitives and a few web-exclusives as well. I'm surprised none of this led to a capture since AMW.COM had a lot of web-exclusive/website captures before the days of Facebook, and that was before people could share the mugshots!

Just a heads up. Amw has announced on their fb page John Walsh will appear on a special edition of Anderson Cooper on CNN Friday night at 8. It's dedicated to missing children. And while he's done plenty of interviews already, this will also mark the first time since October 12th, 2012 we've seen John Walsh on tv on a Friday night. |

Question: Is anybody getting updates from AMW's Facebook? My last update when I go to their page is from May 17th, yet I'm getting a "most shared on America's Most Wanted" update in my news feed with a few cases I didn't see posted on their actual Facebook page (Luis Rodriguez- who I only saw on their website- and the unknown Dori Ann Meyers killer).

K cool. I'm just scratching trying to figure out how I had not a post from AMW but a "most shared" feed where it said 88 people shared Luis Rodriguez's photo. There's no link to his AMW profile on actual AMW on Facebook. I guess maybe another site shared the link.

John Walsh on Facebook. In my desperation to get AMW back I overinterpret many things, but might this be a positive sign?
