So we know that The Hunt will return for a third season, hopefully sometime in 2016 but what do you think the season will be like?
As we know, there were episodes being filmed in Season 2 that were never aired, like the full-hour airing for Matthew Dion (which was actually in TV Guide's directory), a show with William Greer being featured, and one that probably had a segment for Jorge Landeros. Since Season 2 was scheduled to get 16 episodes but only had eight aired. So will Season 3 have some of the episodes that were meant for Season 2? I'm not entirely certain since John and Julianne Dimitrion's segment got pushed from Season 1 and again got pushed from Season 2. Also if some of those leftover episodes get scheduled for Season 3, the worst possible situation for the season's sake is that at least one of the fugitives gets caught before their show airs (although that's obviously good for public safety).
I believe that most of the episodes in Season 3 will be new episodes, however we need to not film the episodes several months in advance since that's the problem that got Season 2 ended way before it was scheduled. There are of course any number of fugitives and missing person cases they could end up doing.

There's also a case that sounds like Eugene Palmer as well. Anyway, I mentioned this in the season 2 thread but it looks like it was supposed to be 8 episodes after all based on one link advertising the upcoming season: tvruckus.com/2015/07/07/season-2-premieres-of-the-hunt-death-row-stories-coming-up-on-cnn-video/I think the thing is John Walsh agreed to do 16 episodes in 2015, not in the same season, but in the year 2015, but season 2 was expected to start in April. When it got bumped to July, it pushed back the remaining episodes into what looks like 2016 for the moment. And Matthew Dion didn't make sense to air at all since it would have wasted an entire hour on a captured fugitive (all the other already captured but still aired in season 2 fugitives had another fugitive on their episode). So they decided to bump up Sawhill and Maldonado, who probably would have been in Season 3 or Season 2B or whatever it will be. I don't expect the format to change much. AMW had it's own site. The Hunt just has a page on CNN. So unless The Hunt gets their own website, it's a bit limited in it's capacity and therefore can only focus on a few cases at a time. Not to mention, The Hunt still does great ratings despite the slower and more limited format. But yeah, the main problem is not making the in-between season breaks as long. Not only do too many people need help, but it increases the odds of captures happening before they can air them.
