Robert and Wila Adams were living in Springfield, Missouri with their two daughters. Their relationship however consisted of the two openly dating other people. Robert however, repeatedly abused Wila for having the same open relationships as he did. In 1970, Robert shot Wila to death in their home and hid her body in the trunk of her car. Robert repeatedly lied to his daughters, saying that Wila went to Miami and had secured a job placement. Eventually, Robert went on the run and fled to Florida, where he was arrested after a failed overdose. He gave a full confession and authorities located the remains of Wila buried in gravel. Robert was convicted of Wila's murder in the early 1970s. Robert however escaped from prison in 1981 and has never been located.

Thoughts? I believe based on a listing from IMDB that Robert Adams may have first been aired in 1991. He was also profiled on AMW: Final Justice and on the 2003 AMW Playing Cards set. The playing cards website said that he might have fled to the Western United States or Guatemala in Central America. Adams would be 87-years old today so it's quite possible that he has since died, if that's the case then hopefully his remains could be located wherever they were buried so his case could be closed.
