(Above photo credit: Fox 59 Indiana) MUNCIE, Ind. (Oct. 28, 2015)- Police are searching for a man wanted in multiple counties for shooting his pregnant girlfriend in the leg. The shooting happened on September 11 in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 800 block of E. Jackson St. in Muncie. The shooting was captured on the store's surveillance video. Muncie Police said the woman was 22 weeks pregnant at the time of the shooting. The motive is unclear. The suspect is 21-year-old Kraig Brown from Anderson. He's the boyfriend and father of the victim's unborn child. The woman was taken to the hospital after being shot once in the leg. She was treated and released. “From the evidence that we’ve collected at the time, we have every reason to believe that he pulled the weapon with the intention of doing her bodily harm," Muncie Police Sgt. Brent Brown said. Now, a manhunt is underway to find Kraig Brown. He's also wanted on warrants in Madison County for failing to show up for trail on drug related charges. “He is living in one of several different locations and it’s an ongoing investigation. We’re currently working with other agencies in central Indiana to try to locate Mr. Brown," Sgt. Brown said. He added,“It’s just a matter of time before we will track him down eventually.” Police said Brown is considered armed and dangerous. Thoughts? The reason I'm placing this case in the fugitives on tv section is the syndicated Crime Show "Crime Watch Daily" profiled Brown on their website.

Crime Watch Daily needs to get their 1st Direct Capture of a wanted fugitive (of course finding a missing person or solving an unsolved case would be wonderful too). Giving national publicity to a scumbag who would shoot and injure his own pregnant girlfriend gives me a whole lot of respect to the TV program.

Well, the problem is they've only actually done two full tv segments on a fugitive- Dan Hiers and Butch Knight. (Actually technically three, they had a woman who kidnapped her kid but it was more about the controversy about whether she was abused by her husband or not than a "go catch this fugitive" segment). They've shown other fugitives but very briefly. Brown has only been on their website. They have 5 days a week and it's so frustrating that they have so few fugitive stories aired on the show itself since those are in theory the easiest cases to solve.
