Authorities in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania are trying to identify the people responsible for the murder of neighbourhood watchman Donald Bachman. It is our advice based on wanted location and online articles that anyone with information on Donald's murder contact the Wilkes-Barre Police Department at (570) 208-4200.-- In the final days of April 2015, seven people were shot in a rash of gun violence in Wilkes-Barre. May 1, 2015 would start the month tragically when Donald Bachman returned home from his job at 4am, the neighbourhood watchman was shot to death in front of his own home. Police were in the neighbourhood earlier after someone smashed the windows of a vehicle. Authorities haven't said if either that or the fact that Donald was outspoken about crime in his local neighbourhood were the motive for his murder. There are no suspects at the current time. -- Thoughts? This case was featured on the Crime Watch Daily TV program which is why this is in the cases on TV section. This will be a tough case to solve, since there's likely no forensic evidence and no witnesses who saw the murder have reportedly come forward yet. A poster on this case's Crime Watch Daily page did mention a good point. How did the witness hear 8 to 10 gunshots at 4am since most people don't have a reason to be up that early? crimewatchdaily.com/2015/08/17/slain-neighborhood-watchman-was-targeted-police-believe/wnep.com/2015/05/01/may-starts-with-another-deadly-shooting-in-wilkes-barre/Admin Note: If you have any (news-related) updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

I don't believe this case was on the show itself which is usually my criteria for placing it on the tv section (except for fugitives, who we need to profile as much as possible since they're less represented) but we can fudge the rules a bit here since it was profiled by a national crime show on their website. As far as hearing the shots, different people have different sleep patterns. Most people especially who don't live in the big cities (Wilkes-Barre is a decent sized place but it's not like it's Chicago) are asleep at 4 am in the morning, but everyone is wired differently. Some people may have an early morning job or are just night owls. The fact that Donald was outspoken about crime in his neighborhood is an avenue to look to, he was in front of his house so it does seem targeted.
