Fight With Alleged Drug Dealer Leaves Friend Dead
Joseph Woodbury stands at 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 135 lbs. But cops say that in this small package is a fiery and violent spirit that could easily belong to a man twice his size.
Not a lot is known about Woodbury. Law enforcement officials say that before the night of Nov. 18, 2005 he was a drug dealer, specializing in powder and crack cocaine. Cops say after this night, he became a wanted murderer.
Cops are not sure of exactly what happened between Woodbury and Ricky Lamar Cook. They had been friends and had no major issues that people they knew could recall.
Still, on Nov. 18, officials say Woodbury snapped.
Deadly Night With Many Questions
Authorities say that sometime late that night, the two were hanging out and an argument occurred.
Woodbury allegedly got so angry that he fired several rounds into Ricky and left him for dead. The next day Ricky's lifeless body was found on the side of a rural road in Williamsburg, S.C.
No one has seen Woodbury since.
Thoughts? The above was the AMW archived case description on the reason Woodbury became a wanted fugitive. Woodbury was aired on the April 29th, 2006 episode of America's Most Wanted. As far as I can tell, he's still at large as of this posting date (10/25/2015), but please e-mail us if you have proof otherwise.
