"On June 11, 2003, a group of young adults were returning from an evening out at a local restaurant. Police say that on their way home, they encountered 22-year-old Geovanni Ramos. Cops say he was visibly intoxicated and apparently looking for a fight. Investigators are unsure why Geovanni targeted the group. However, they say he started the altercation by striking the victim, Liang Peng, with a piece of wood. Then, as the group began to flee, police say Geovanni called out for his younger brother who was upstairs in the apartment. Cops claim Charlie Ramos emerged from the building brandishing a revolver, and the two brothers began to chase down the group. Cops say the brothers caught up to Liang Peng, fatally shooting him once in the chest. The two suspects then fled on foot.
Further investigation revealed that Geovanni and Charlie enlisted the help of a female friend. Police say she drove both of the brothers out of the New York City area in a rental car and when she and the brothers picked up on the fact that the police might be on to them, they went their separate ways. Detectives are confident that the friend has told them all she knows, and no longer has contact with either suspect.
It is believed that Geovanni and Charlie may be heading towards Texas or California, with Mexico as a possible final destination."
Thoughts? The above was from the AMW archives for fugitives profiled on the January 17th, 2004 episode of America's Most Wanted. As far as I can tell, both are still-at-large as of this posting date (10/14/2015), but please e-mail us if you have proof otherwise. The brothers would be in their 30's today.
