(Above photo credit: twincities.com) From the St. Paul Minnesota government website- unsolved crimes section: Victim: Danny Wright, male, 54 years old Date: Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010 Time: 5 a.m. Location: 435 University Avenue E., Saint Paul, Minn. Around 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, Saint Paul police responded to a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in the Union Gospel Mission parking lot. Witnesses told police Danny was walking in the parking lot when he was struck by a vehicle. The suspect, an adult male, then fled the scene. Danny was transported to Regions Hospital where he later died. Investigators believe the driver was in a smaller, two-door dark blue or green car. The vehicle likely has or had damage to the front end, hood and/or roof. Anyone with information is asked to call the Saint Paul police homicide unit at 651-266-5650 or Crime Stoppers of Minnesota at 1-800-222-TIPS. There is a $4,000 reward for anybody who provides information that leads to an arrest.

Thoughts? I'm shocked that the killer hasn't been found. It's very likely that Danny Wright knew his killer if the killer "yelled" at him. And it's also clear that if he did know his killer, they obviously weren't on the best of terms. Isn't the first thing the cops check out enemies? Weird. Possibly this could be one of those where they have a good idea who it was but just don't have the evidence yet though.

The problem is while it appears the man was angry over Danny, meaning he knew him, is how long did he know him. Perhaps it was a guy Danny was in an argument with earlier in the day, further complicating the case since it wouldn't be a person familiar to those who knew Danny.
