Jose Jesus Jaimes Espinoza was aired on the September 21st, 2002 episode of America's Most Wanted. Below is the archived description of the case:
Jose Espinoza is wanted by the Los Angeles Police Department for a series of home invasion robberies committed between August 1995 and July 1996 in the Northeast area of LA. Police say Espinoza preyed on women with small children or lone women. LAPD detectives outline Espinoza’s MO thusly: he approaches the victims outside their residences, forces them into their residences, and locks them in bathrooms or ties them with duct tape. Police claim Espinoza enters the residences using a variety of weapons such as handguns, shotguns and knives. Then, according to LAPD, he would remove valuables such as computers, electronic equipment, currency and jewelry. Police say he also frequently took the victims’ vehicles. In some of the cases, according to police, Espinoza forced the victims to load their own property into his vehicle. Police say the invasions grew progressively more violent and cruel during his crime spree.
Weapons used were unknown type of 12-gauge shotgun, unknown type semi-automatic blue steel handgun, unknown type stainless steel revolver and an unknown type knife with 3” blade. None of these weapons were recovered. None of the stolen property has been recovered.
Espinoza has a history of juvenile arrests and has been known to use nine known aliases (see above).
Thoughts? I should note Espinoza is now somewhere around 40 based on his many dates of birth, so the stuff about his youthful appearance is probably somewhat irrelevant now. He may still look young for his age, but I don't think he's pretending to be a teenager anymore. Espinoza has many claimed nationalities, but one would think any of those countries would be a potential hiding spot for him.
