During the morning hours of Tuesday, January 9, 1996, a resident of the apartment building pictured above became involved in a verbal argument with a family member who also resided within the same apartment complex. As the verbal argument escalated, suspect Mario Duran (described and pictured above) brandished a knife and stabbed his brother-in-law, Luis Martin San Luis to death. Immediately after the stabbing, suspect Duran fled the scene and has not been located since. Currently, a warrant for Mario Duran’s arrest has been issued for Investigation of First Degree Murder. Anyone having additional information on this case or knowledge of the current whereabouts of Mario Duran is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
Thoughts? The above was from a Denver Police wanted poster. Mario Duran was profiled on the October 12th, 2012 episode of America's Most Wanted, which also turned out to be the last ever episode of America's Most Wanted. According to the archives, Mario's brother-in-law had threatened to have him and his whole family deported back to Mexico. While I admit it wasn't a very nice thing to say, it also doesn't justify murder. Many family members say things they later regret during heated arguments, heck, if it's never happened in your family, no offense, but you might not be normal. Wherever Mario is now, if his temper can be set off like that, he's still a danger even 20 years later.
