Baby Sitter Victimized On The Job
For many teenagers, it's their first job. But for one Iowa preteen, an ordinary baby-sitting gig for a family friend became a traumatic ordeal.
When his wife hired her closest friend's daughter to babysit, Jesse Casas-Ceniceros allegedly took advantage of the situation in sinister fashion. According to officials, he abused the young girl multiple times between 2002 and 2003.
Investigators say the child would often spend the night after baby-sitting, presenting Casas-Ceniceros with ample time to victimize her. According to cops, he convinced the child that the sex would be their little secret – but she’d eventually come forward with what was going on.
One day, the girl described the abuse to one of her teachers at school, springing officials into action. Unfortunately, Casas-Ceniceros fled before authorities could bring him to justice. For a few years, Casas-Ceniceros flew under the radar. Then in 2006, officials learned he may be in Camargo, Mexico, possibly staying with family. Cops say their sources claim Ceniceros was working as a police officer.
Thoughts? The above was from the AMW archives. Casas-Ceniceros was a web-exclusive case. As far as I can tell, he's still at large as of this posting date (10/2/2015). If anyone has proof otherwise, please feel free to let us know. The problem I see here with catching him, is A) He's possibly staying with family and B) He may be working as a police officer. That's a double whammy right there. We see all the time some fugitives are able to stay on the run in Mexico after they bribe a corrupt cop. In this case, Ceniceros may actually be BOTH the fugitive and the corrupt cop.
