UPDATE: AMW's website officially went off-line a year ago, so in effect all fugitives have been removed. Please keep that in mind when scrolling down. These were fugitives removed before AMW.com completely ended.
Every now and then AMW will remove fugitives from their website to make room. The ones they choose to remove are for a variety of reasons among them being these:
1) Fugitive was rarely aired or hasn't aired in a while, or perhaps never aired at all.
2) Fugitive is believed to be likely deceased
3) Fugitive is believed to be in a country that doesn't extradite, or doesn't get AMW, or the country does extradite but no fugitive has ever been caught in it so they're not likely to be found.
4) Agency no longer actively looking for them.
These are some reasons, and AMW has apparently just completed a full-scale do-over on the AMW.COM site. Many fugitives are gone, but are among the above reasons, and they are now mainly concentrating on recently aired fugitives on Lifetime and the last few years on Fox. I had a feeling this would happen and like a psychic kept a backup list. To list every fugitive removed would take forever but I have provided a list of those I felt were noteworthy for a variety of reasons. Many made John Walsh's top 10 lists, many had noteworthy crimes, and many although not aired in a while had been frequently aired for a good amount of time before AMW seemingly gave up on them:
Here's the partial list. Not all are surprising IMO, but I feel they're noteworthy for a variety of reasons. Who are you most surprised was removed?
