Run For The Border
Cops say Garzan-Anguiano drove an Oldsmobile up to the port of entry in Calexico, CA. He and his passenger were ordered to open the trunk when they reached the border. Police say they got out and ran as fast as they could back across into Mexico. They left behind their car with 923 pounds of cocaine in the trunk. Cops say that this is just the tip of the iceberg. They say Garzan-Anguiano continues to smuggle drugs and is quickly climbing up the Arellano-Felix drug trafficking organization. Authorities say he is armed and dangerous.
Thoughts? The above was from the old AMW archives, Anguiano was aired three times on AMW in the mid-2000's. As far as I can tell, he's still at large.
What is interesting that wasn't mentioned on AMW (at least I don't think it was), is that Anguiano is mentioned as a possible suspect in the disappearance of Mexican journalist Alfredo Jimenez Mota. Granted, he's one suspect among many, but catching him may help get justice for Mota, who was possibly (and let's face it, probably) murdered.

UPDATE: I have not been able to find any updates about Anguiano in the past few years. As far as I can tell, he is still at large as of this update (7/23/2018), since I haven't found anything online suggesting otherwise. However, if anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are always more than welcome to let us know.
