We all know that certain AMW episodes and cases can be found on different video sites, including YouTube and Vimeo. However, because YouTube had strict copyright laws, not all the segments stay on that site, and some end up getting deleted.
Here's a few that I know used to be online but can't be found anymore:
Ray Steven Mobley - Alaska fugitive wanted for beating a man to death. His full segment used to be on YouTube, but it got taken down probably about a year after it was uploaded.
Mario Fernando Zablah - Miami magician wanted for killing his girlfriend after she broke up with him (he was later captured). A low-quality version of Zablah's segment was uploaded by the magician who served as a consultant on the reenactment and who let the show borrow some of his equipment. This one disappeared after a couple years on YouTube. Possibly more interesting than Zablah was that this was also the episode where the Gardner Museum Heist was profiled. No trace of that reenactment was ever uploaded, but the clip did include John Walsh saying, "Coming up next, the story of the largest museum heist in American history," (or something to that effect).
February 3, 2001 episode (Serial Killers Special Edition) - Very recently, someone uploaded this entire episode to YouTube. Despite the grainy footage and the fact commercials weren't edited out, it was still a real treat to watch. This one didn't last too long, disappearing within a few days.
Richard Church (Profile & Capture Report) - At one point, somebody actually uploaded both the full profile and the capture report of Richard Church, a teen wanted out of southern Illinois for killing his ex-girlfriend's brother and one of her parents. While on the run, Church teamed up with religious cult leader Tony Alamo and the pair traveled across the country (along with other followers). Both Alamo and Church were arrested at the same time.
I don't recall seeing these specifically on YouTube, but I know I've seen them online and can no longer find them:
Jeanine Harms - Missing woman who AMW profiled back in early 2001. I want to say this segment was on a Jeanine Harms tribute website (somebody had actually saved the media file onto the page). Though her body wasn't found, her ex-boyfriend, Maurice Nasmeh, was arrested and charged with murder. He was either acquitted or got a reduced sentence, because after his release he was killed by one of Jeanine's relatives.
Kristen Modafferi - Missing teen profiled several times by AMW in the mid-90s. This segment was probably taken from 1997 and featured a brief update on the investigation and were things were headed. I don't recall this being on YouTube specifically, but I have seen this online.
Christopher Dansby & Shane Walker - This one drives me the craziest. Two boys disappeared from the same park just about a year apart from each other after playing with the same group of friends. What drives me crazy is that I know I've seen a John Walsh-narrated segment featuring an older woman sitting on a swing talking about a little boy she was watching, then after turning her back for one second, he was gone. It had to have been this case, but I have no clue where I saw it, but I know I've seen it.
Can anyone think of other AMW segments that have been removed from social media, etc?
