Robert Houston Sanders is one of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's (TBI) Top 10 Most Wanted fugitives.
He is also wanted by the Tennessee Department of Correction for escaping from the Tennessee State Penitentiary on April 20th, 1990.
Sanders was serving an 81-year sentence in prison for aggravated kidnapping, armed robbery, second degree burglary, aggravated assault, third degree burglary, attempt to commit felony burglary, and petit larceny.
The TBI is now offering a $5,000 reward for his arrest.
Thoughts? Unfortunately, those are all the details I can find- I'm assuming how he escaped may be concealed for good reasons- but there's nothing about possible whereabouts either. However, considering his history, I amazed if this guy has been well-behaved for 25 years, and wonder if he's spent prison time under aliases. On the other hand, for him to go undetected for 25 years, the only other way for that to happen is if he's laid low. (For example, Dennis Lilly surprisingly became a beloved and charitable member of his community before finally dying during his time on the run)
