"Police in Riverside, California say, on November 22, 1995, Rudy Gutierrez ignored a restraining order against him and confronted his ex-girlfriend, Gina Torres, in an abandoned Sears parking lot. Gutierrez begged Torres to go back with him. She adamantly refused and got into her car to drive away. Gutierrez smashed the driver's side window of her car and slashed her eight times in the neck, stomach, head and arm. Torres pretended to be dead and Guiterrez fled from the scene. Torres stumbled to the street and passed out and was saved by a passing motorist. Despite doctors initial beliefs that she wouldn't live, Torres survived. Her vocal cords, however, are permanently damaged from the slash wound to her neck.
Gutierrez could be living in the southern California area, or in the city of Palma in the state of Sonora Mexico. He could be working as a landscaper, or in a restaurant or bakery."
