(Above photo credit: Charley Project) On Jul 9, 2007, 14-year old Ashley had an argument at the residence she lived at with her great uncle. She disappeared afterwards, taking all her clothes with her. A month later, she called her mother to tell her that she was okay. In November of that year, Ashley's step-grandmother believes she saw her with short blonde hair, whoever she saw, disappeared before she could talk to that person. www.fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap/ashley-summerscharleyproject.org/cases/s/summers_ashley.htmlAdmin Note #1: According to missingkids.org, anyone having information should call 1-800-THE-LOST, or the Cleveland Police Department (Ohio) at 1-216-623-5005 or Your Local FBI Admin Note #2: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Ashley Summers is my going to be my missing persons case of the week. Also it was believed she was in Rhode Island doing ATM theft the facial similarities between her and the woman behind those thefts were just indisputable, but it was determined by the FBI on July 6, 2015 that the women in the Rhode Island photo wasn't her which I didn't know because life happened this past summer and I was unaware till before I got on here to post.... So once again it's back to square 1, but at least she's on the FBIs missing person page, personally I'd like to see a good ending to this case, I had my hopes up when this was all being reported in 2014- early 2015 and thought okay she is alive at least but now I'm just hoping she's alright and Alive

Oh wow I didn't know they determined it wasn't her. I was remaining cautiously optimistic, but if you were to put a gun to my head and ask me (sorry if this is an insensitive analogy but it's usually the cliched scenario when it comes to asking an opinion), I would have said it was her. The resemblance was uncanny, but the old saying is everyone has a twin. The problem here is if Ashley is alive, she's now an adult and can only talk to her family if she wants to. Unless she's been kidnapped and held against her will, she can only be located, not recovered. However, whether she wants to or not, it would be comforting to her family to know she's alive, as disappointing as it would be if she wants nothing to do with them. Also, here's an article about the FBI determining the Rhode Island woman wasn't her: fox8.com/2015/07/06/fbi-determines-photo-from-rhode-island-is-not-missing-cleveland-woman-ashley-summers/

Also Scumhunter when Amanda Berry and Gina Dejesus, whom were also my long time cases, I was partially correct on my speculation they were kidnapped by the same person and incorrect that they were possibly murdered, but when they were rescued I thought yes Ashley Summers had to be the 3rd missing women in Ariel Castro's home which got my hopes up until they revealed it was Michelle Knight, within the past 3 years I've had my hopes up that she had been located with The Great Recovery and the Rhode Island photos. Before "The Great Recovery" in 2013 I speculated that AB GD and AS being dead like I said and since then I've been leaning towards the idea that AS may be alive... So I do have hope that she can be located one day alive. Her contacting her family I agree she would have done it by now. Also Scumhunter you bring up a great point Ashley may possibly have some sort of anger towards her family, it's the same thing that happened with Michelle Knight in a way, Castro taunted her that nobody would care and she began to feel that as a result and some drama here but also Castro managed to Pin Amanda against Michelle during their time in captivity, but yes maybe Ashley has that mindset if alive. Sorry if I do run off into the bushes and keep ranting about the Cleveland captives. **Also I found her old poster pre-2010 on the old FBI website:** www2.fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap/summers_a.htm

Nothing new but it's a very interesting watch how they thought Ashley was the 4th girl in that house of horrors. Video is from March 2015. youtu.be/w4z02OabbAk

In 2017, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children released a new age-progresssion photo showing what Ashely may have looked like at age 24 (which is her current age as of 1/21/2018):

Glad to see. I feel Ashley's is a completely solvable case. The fact that Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus were also from Ohio and also recovered gives hope for Ashley as well.
