Fugitive Profile as of September 1st, 2015: (based on 2011 AMW archive, Garland Crime Stoppers website) Full Name: Cesar Pascual Orozco Sex: Male Race: Hispanic Age: 31 (DOB: 8/14/1984) Height: 6'0-6'1 Weight: 160 lbs Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Last Seen: Garland, Texas Other Possible Locations: Orozco has family in the Dallas area, police suspect he is still somewhere in T.X Who to call if you've seen him: Garland Crime Stoppers 1-972-272-8477 or submit a web tip to them at the following link: www.tipsubmit.com/webtips.aspx?AgencyID=792&DSID=792Cesar Orozco is wanted for murder out of Garland, Texas. He was aired on the June 20th, 2009 episode of America's Most Wanted. Below is the archived description of the case: Cops: Jealous Rage Towards Ex-Wife's New Beau Fuels MurderCops in Garland, Texas are on the hunt for Cesar Orozco, a man who they say shot and killed Joe Luis Castillo on March 14, 2009. Police say Orozco was dropping off his daughter with his ex-wife -- with whom he shared custody of the girl -- when he saw Joe Castillo working on a car. Orozco allegedly approached Castillo with a gun and fired at him. Cops say Castillo died as a result of ten gunshot wounds. After the shooting, Orozco fled the scene and has been on the run ever since. Orozco abandoned his Chrysler a few miles from the crime scene, police say, which they later found. Inside the vehicle, police discovered the murder weapon. Investigators learned that jealousy may have perpetuated this murder; Orozco suspected that Joe was seeing his ex-wife. Cops say that this is Orozco’s first violent crime. Police say Cesar Orozco has relatives in Mexico, but after questioning his family, detectives believe he is still in the United States. Cops tell AMW that most of his family resides in the Dallas area, which is reason enough for Orozco not to stray too far. Prior to the crime, police say Orozco either resided at his mother’s home or his sister’s home. Cops say that Orozco worked in the factory of a lumber company before they say he killed Joe. He may be working in a similar line of work. Thoughts? It seems initially Detectives felt Orozco was hiding in plain sight in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Although six years after the alleged murder, anywhere is possible in my opinion. web.archive.org/web/20111102234419/http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=64745garlandcrimestoppers.org/wanteds.aspx Admin Note: If you have any updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Orozco is no longer listed on the Garland Crime Stoppers website for whatever reason. But I check the Dallas County Court records and there's been no movement in this case since 2011 so it would seem Orozco is still at large.

Hello, This is the mother of Joe, Thank you so much for following up on this and post your concern. It is true the police have done nothing to find this guy. The last time I spoke with the detective he said they are waiting for him to make a mistake again. and I am waiting for justice. Thank you once again

Hello Chiflado,
Thanks for joining but I'm sorry for the reason you're here so let me first say how terribly sorry I am for your loss and how I hope one day there's justice.
I'm also sorry you feel the police aren't doing enough. The fact that you tell me the detective says they're waiting for Orozco to make a mistake tells me they think he's out of the country and they're waiting for him to do something stupid like attempt to come back here to visit relatives, but that's only my ordinary citizen interpretation so I could be misinterpreting.
It's over a decade now so I can't imagine how frustrating the wait has been, let's hope we can hear good news and Orozco does make a mistake that can reel him in.

Hello, This is the mother of Joe, Thank you so much for following up on this and post your concern. It is true the police have done nothing to find this guy. The last time I spoke with the detective he said they are waiting for him to make a mistake again. and I am waiting for justice. Thank you once again Hello Chiflado, As Scumhunter mentioned, I appreciate you for joining but I am sincerely sorry for the circumstances and the loss for you and your family. It is frustrating that even though Cesar Orozco has an arrest warrant issued for your son's murder, he has still not been arrested in over 10 years. I just wanted to add that there is a non-profit organization I support called Project: Cold Case. They advocate for families in unsolved homicide cases and provide support for families going through the same situation as you. They also cover cases where a suspect has an active arrest warrant but has not been arrested. I'll post the link to their case submission forum and their Facebook page as well. I still hope you and your family get the justice you deserve. www.projectcoldcase.org/case-submission/www.facebook.com/Projectcoldcase/

Hello this is the Mother of Joe (Chiflado), Thank you ScumHunter and HeadMarshal for taking interest on this. This year will be 15 years since that unforgettable day. Erything on here is true. I hate to bother the police on this because I know they are busy n other cases. But I did go on 1/2024 and spoke with a new Detective and he repeated the same the case is still open and they are still playing the waiting game. I just wish I could do something as a mother so I could tell my grandmother that the bad man was caught. I will not lose faith that he will be caught. As a concern parent I went to talk to Cesar's mom to ask her why her son would do this to my son, and she was very aggressive and she was very insulting and I could not get nothing out of her, the only thing she said was that he is not going to let himself get caught or taken alive. I will come on this forum to check it out. I am not sure if I can give you my number in case anybody had any other questions, but let me know, once again I appreciate everything you do. Thak you

For what it’s worth I made the manhunt for Orozco our case of the day for today on the front page. I am hoping with a new detective is a fresh set of eyes to keep track of the manhunt and hopefully make some progress.

Hello Scumhunter, Thank you so much for keeping up with this case. It is worth a lot to me and my family, I just can't believe the city of Garland Police can't reach out to Cesar family (the mother or sister or even his exwife) he has a daughter with her. I strongly believe everything comes to the surface one day. I will pray that the new set of special eye will make a progress and keep s believing in justice. Thank you once again have a bless day.
