Remarks: Dawson has a military background and training. He may have altered his appearance using plastic surgery and hair dye. Dawson has ties to California, Louisiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and the Philippines. TIPS: If you have any information concerning this person, please contact your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate. Tips can also be submitted anonymously online to the FBI at tips.fbi.govLeslie Charles Dawson is a cold case Oregon prison escapee. As far as I know, he's never been on America's Most Wanted. Below is the FBI description of the case: "On January 31, 1986, Leslie Charles Dawson was confined in an Oregon State Correctional Facility for two counts of rape in the first degree and two counts of sodomy in the first degree, both involving juveniles. On October 7, 1986, he escaped from custody at the South Fork Forest Camp in Tillamook, Oregon. An order of arrest of an escaped prisoner was issued for Dawson on August 8, 1991, by the State of Oregon Department of Corrections. A federal arrest warrant charging Dawson with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued on April 20, 1999, in the United States District Court, District of Oregon, Portland, Oregon." Thoughts? What I'm confused by is the arrest order was issued five years after his escape. Also, there are photos of Dawson five years after his escape as well. Was he arrested but gave an alias and got away once more? Admin Note: If you have any updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-formIt must have been the detective work they were doing and through investigations they likely got those photos, he clearly wasn't arrested but apparently someone who knew him came forward possibly or sent those images to family members. The federal warrant was issued in 1999 so those images are likely what prompted the Unlawful Flight to avoid Confinement charge. |

Does anyone on here think there will be some details, like for example how investigators obtained the photographs from 1991-1992 on the upcoming episode of The Hunt?

Dawson has been bumped up and is currently on the featured fugitives site.
I wonder if they’ll add him to the Top Ten tomorrow, because based on the preview, that’s as sick of a crime as it gets. Either way let’s catch this B*st**d

So far no fugitives aired on The Hunt have ever been added to the top ten list after the fact.
There is a slot open for a "cold case" so to speak but they haven't added a child crimes fugitive since Walter Lee Williams in 2013.

However since the FBI hasn’t made its FBI This Week podcast yet on Castillo, it might mean they will add someone tomorrow and Dawson is going to be aired this weekend, so it’s an Addition before the fact that he’s aired.

That actually makes sense lol. The Hunt so far has only had one case coincide with a top list addition- when Tony Burroughs was added to the US Marshals Top 15 list right before his airing. (Victor Barnard was added to the top 15 list months after his airing) I assume the same thing can happen here. Has to eventually I guess. I actually think there's a good chance you're going to be right now that I think about it but we'll wait and see.  Even if he doesn't make the list even making The Hunt should hopefully expand tips. |

Steven Touch could be another individual that could make the list because he’s recent, but I think Dawson’s crime is one Against Children and a violent crime. Also he’s got images after he went on the run and more than likely he’s in the country, so it opens the floodgates, along with his airing, but we’ll see. |

That would be the Portland field office and even if they plan an addition for next week, it’s still possible to add him after his airing. Another thing I’ve noticed about his images is they seem to have a green background like it’s plants or something like that and they did the same for Walter Yovany Gomez. I’m curious if they actually managed to track him down somewhere in the states rather than in a foreign nation. |

I'd be less worried about the top ten list and more worried about just hoping the Hunt helps in some way after Sunday.
