I have a very interesting update on capture #581- Theodore (Ted) White. He was eventually cleared of all charges and won a 15.5 million dollar wrongful conviction lawsuit in 2011. This might be lengthy but I promise it's worth it. When White was fighting extradition, he learned his estranged wife was having a sexual relationship with the Detective investigating his case. His wife eventually married the same Detective who had testified against White. White also learned the prosecution knew of the relationship but didn't disclose it to his attorneys. In April of 2002, White won a new trial. The prosecution decided to retry White, again relying on the testimony of his former adopted daughter. However, an investigation by White’s lawyers resulted in the discovery of evidence, including that he was out of town on business during periods of time when he allegedly molesting his daughter, and defense witnesses who directly contradicted many aspects of her testimony about her relationship with White. The Defense claimed the Detective and White's ex-wife concocted the scheme to be together, and got White's daughter to go along with it. After a six-day trial in June 2004, a mistrial was declared after the jury deadlocked. The final vote? 11-1 in favor of acquittal. And that one hold out turned out to have lied on their juror form, including how long he had lived in Missouri and failed to disclose he had been involved in civil suits when asked. White was finally acquitted during a third trial in 2005. On August 30, 2008 an eight person jury in U.S. District Court in Kansas City awarded White $14 million in compensatory damages and $2 million in punitive damages after finding that the Detective and White’s wife conspired to convict White of false charges and deprive him of his right to a fair trial. This was appealed but on July 22nd, 2011 White finally won a 15.5 million dollar wrongful conviction lawsuit against the city of Lee's Summit, Missouri. To quote Shawshank Redemption, it appears White was not just innocent but for-real innocent. I can't fault AMW for going after White since he was technically convicted initially. But I'm glad to see justice eventually prevailed for him. justicedenied.org/wordpress/archives/1353

I discovered what I believe is an inaccuracy in the capture directory. And believe it or not 912th- this one is AMW's fault! AMW claims in their archives capture sites a man named John Stanley Boris was Dogman Tony. However wanting more information to vote in a tough capture contest final round I found this: Last July, Anthoney Hugh Ross a.k.a. Dog-Man Tony was arrested in LaCrosse on a warrant charging him with a Texas murder. A Texas investigator came to Wisconsin to question him. He hoped to have Dog-Man extradited on the strength of an eyewitness description of the murder. Dog-Man allegedly taunted his victim by holding a knife to his throat and saying, "I could kill you in a heartbeat," then slit his throat and said, "Oh well, another one bites the dust." Dog-Man, who claims not to be a member of the FTRA, became a minor celebrity after being featured on "America's Most Wanted." He was released from the LaCrosse jail in August after the witness in the Texas case was run over and killed by a train. www.citypages.com/1997-12-03/news/last-train-out/full/articles.latimes.com/1997/sep/17/news/mn-33166/2There's also a picture of a Dogman Toney named Boris Stanley who passed away in 2012. I don't know if it was an alias or not. www.postbulletin.com/obituaries/john-s-boris-dogman-tony---rochester/article_d2b26ac5-c6d4-59fa-846a-310bfb754c4e.html?mode=image&photo=0I apologize since I'm sure this may have affected whether you placed him in your contest to begin with. I didn't know AMW was inaccurate, his name was actually Tony Ross, and his charges were dropped until tonight.

So you're saying the real capture #476 was named Tony Ross, and the murder charges were dropped after the star witness got hit by a train? I need to make sure of what you're saying before I update the capture directory.
