AMW Capture#760 - Steven Aitken - A convicted child molester turned bank robber who robbed seven banks in Florida during 2003.
After his profile on AMW,he would be busted in Daytona Beach on Sept 8,2003.
He would be given twelve life sentences for his crimes.

AMW Capture #761 - Mark William Samples - www.startribune.com/teen-formerly-abducted-by-father-now-wants-quiet-normal-life/222829021/
Samples was wanted out of Minnesota for a 2001 bank robbery and the parental kidnapping of his son from his ex-wife,who had sole custody.
AMW tipsters would catch up to him in Ohio on September 12,2003.
The child was safely returned to his mother and Samples was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison.
He was released in early 2013 and tried to see his son but as the article above shows,the son made it clear he wanted nothing to do with his father and the courts respected his wishes.
From what I was able to find,he has no contact with his father or the rest of his father's family since that hearing and that likely won't change.
And his father and the family that enabled him while he was on the run have no one but themselves to blame for that.

AMW Capture #769 - Uyen Wendy Nguyen-Le - Wanted out of New Jersey for her role in a 2002 bar brawl that left an off duty officer paralyzed.
AMW tipsters would catch her over a year later in California as she was getting ready to flee the country.
 She would be sent back to New Jersey where in 2004 she was allowed to plead guilty to lesser charges because somehow the prosecutors felt her role in the beating wasn't as great as the others because she only hit the cop a couple of times.
She was given a suspended sentence but wouldn't stay out of trouble for long.
Less then two years later in 2006,she was arrested on charges of trafficking in ecstasy.
As a result,she was given three years in prison for drug charges and was sentenced to four years in prison.
She would be released in 2010 from those charges.
Her brother who was also wanted for his role in the beating has never been caught.

When another woman won big at a bingo hall in West Palm Beach,Florida in August of 2003,Natia Johnson set her up to be robbed.
Her brother,using a gun supplied to him by another man,shot the victim and stole her winnings.
The victim would spend nearly the next two years in and out of the hospital for the injuries she suffered and lost a kidney.
After her profile, AMW tipsters would track Natia to her mother's house on December 2nd,2003.
Her brother would get life in prison and the man who supplied the gun got 40 years but when it came time for Natia to be sentenced,she apologized and asked the judge to think of her children.
It's an argument the judge bought because of instead of making the 20 years she got for attempted felony murder and 15 years for robbery run consecutively,he made them concurrent instead,which means she only got 20 years.
This is another one of those cases where justice wasn't served IMO.
This robbery and shooting wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for her and it doesn't seem right she gets a slap on the wrist while others acting on her orders got more time.
If she was so worried about being taken away from her children,she wouldn't have made the choices she did that night.
Also she showed concern about her children but none for the ones of the woman she almost killed.
Not the night it happened and not since then.
As the victim said,she's an evil person who never should be let out of prison.
But she will be next year in the fall of 2020 after only serving 17 years(which is 85% of her sentence.)
What a joke.

AMW Capture #797 - Naomi Betts - Wanted out of Indiana for a bank robbery where she walked in with no disguise and simply handed a teller a note demanding money.
AMW viewers would bust her on May 27th,2004.
She would be sentenced to three years in prison but due to gain time laws,was released in 2005.

AMW Capture#822 - Jason Mori - A white supremacist,Mori got into an argument with another man in California in 2004 and shot him to death with a hunting rifle.
AMW viewers would bust him in Washington state on January 25,2005.
He would plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter and was given 16 years in prison.
While in prison,he would take part in dog training programs and upon his release in 2017,now works as a dog trainer/walker.
It appears he is taking advantage of his second chance and good for him.
He owes the family and society that.

AMW Capture#860 - Stanley L Osbourne - Wanted out of NY for the 2001 rape of his stepdaughter and the beating of his wife with a pistol to the point her skull was fractured.
He would be busted in Canada and sent back to NY where was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
He was released on July 13,2018 and was deported,most likely back to Canada.

AMW Capture #902 - Jaroslaw "Jerry" Ambrozuk - Wanted out of Montana for a 1982 plane crash in Montana in which he left his girlfriend to drown while he saved himself after their plane crashed.
After 24 years, a woman he was seeing would see him on amw.com and turn him in.
He would end up pleading guilty to felony charges of criminal endangerment and criminal mischief and federal charges of passport fraud for using a fake name(the alias he was caught under.)
He was given two ten year sentences but they were suspended and instead he was deported back to Canada in 2007.
All told he only served eight months in jail for what happened that night.

 From what I've read,the court and Sample's ex-wife were aware of his problems which is why both had been willing to give him a break until he chose to go on the run and take Christopher with him.
 I am sensitive to issues of mental health but the actions Mark took to stay on the run shows he knew right from wrong and he was punished correctly.
As for the one relative,I can understand not wanting to rip your loved one apart but there were valid reasons why he didn't have custody and to excuse those away and hope he was never found,you can't fault the mother for not wanting any of her ex's relatives anywhere near her son or for the fact that today,he doesn't want anything to do with them.

To your second point on Jerry Ambrozik,he has never been able to explain why he didn't call for help or tell someone about the crash after it happened and instead went on the run.
As you said,even if he had faced some jail time,it wouldn't have been for long if at all.
My guess is he felt that even spending a day in jail was too much and thus chose to go on the run instead.

Been a while but here is some new info on AMW Captures.

AMW Capture #315 - John Cosby III - John Cosby would be arrested in early summer of 1994 for several armed robberies in Detroit but he wouldn't stayed locked up for long.
On August 19,1994,he and nine other inmates would escape by using guns throw over the walls of the jail they were in.
When AMW aired his story a couple of weeks later,he wasn't hard to find.
He was already in custody under an assumed name in Bellevue hospital in NYC and would be recognized by other inmates who were watching the show.
After his true identity was revealed, he was sent back to Michigan where he was sentenced to 25-50 years in prison for the robberies he had committed as well as the escape.
His earliest release date will be in the fall of 2022.

AMW Capture #359 - William Dwight Dotson - A career criminal,Dotson was wanted for a federal parole violation as well as getting into a shootout with police on New Year's Day in 1990.
After AMW viewers nailed him in South Carolina in April of 95,he was sentenced to six years in federal prison and released in 2001.

AMW Captures #1058/#1059 Darak Williams & Kashema Reddish - Wanted out of PA for the brutal murder of Reddish's three year old daughter,they would be busted in Buffalo,NY.
Williams would be sentenced to life in prison while Reddish would plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter(a joke in my option) and would serve a decade in prison before being released.
IMO,she should have gotten more time as evidence showed there were numerous chances for her to save her daughter and she chose not to take any of them.
One can only hope that she never has access to any of her surviving children ever again,as she has shown she will put her selfish needs above their safety.

 AMW Capture #1066/1067  - Jeffrey Czechonna Miles and Anita Kay Vestal

 In August 2008,Miles took part in a home invasion robbery where two people were killed.
He would be sent to the county jail to await trail.
While there he met and befriended a jail guard named Anita Vestal and before long,the friendship became a romantic one.
In March of 2009,Vestal would help Miles break out of jail and would go on the run with him.
They would be busted in California the following month in a motel.
Miles would get life in prison for his crimes.
Vestal was tried on a variety of charges including accessory to first degree murder,with the DA stating she knew he was guilty yet helped him escape prison anyway.
She would be acquitted of the accessory to murder charges but was found guilty for her role in Mile's escape.
She would get a little over three years in prison for her role in the escape and is now out.
I will say this.
From reading the article,it appears she was at a low point in her life and was ripe for the picking by someone like Miles but it doesn't excuse her actions in helping a dangerous monster back out onto the streets.
And if she could call her husband while on the run to say she had screwed up,she could have called the police too.
She didn't.
 I agree with the jury's verdict on the acquittal of accessory to murder charges,as that charge was an overreach but I agree with the rest of the verdicts and as I said before,don't view her a victim.
At the end of the day,she knew right from wrong and chose wrong.
Thank goodness no one else died at Miles's hands and that she'll never be in a position as jail guard again.

Chi Ali Griffith, AMW capture #657, did an interview for some website called Vlad TV. Apparently when AMW caught him, referring to a song of his called "Roadrunner", they stated "The roadrunner isn't running anymore." He claims he debated fleeing to Cuba before winding up in New York while previously hiding in Atlanta.

And when it came to AMW and asked what he thought of John Walsh his reply was "f*** him" and complained about how the show automatically assumes your guilt and you can't get a fair trial after that.

All I have to say to that is don't go on the run then! Especially for a crime you wound up convicted of!

Honestly, we've seen a few famous or quasi-famous people wind up on AMW. That is not a reason to celebrate them. Just because Chi Ali had some hit songs before his fugitive run or Karen King is on a reality show (granted her charges were dropped but we've seen her involved in other legal drama) doesn't mean we should make excuses for them and celebrate them.

Not to make a joke out of serious situations, but it reminds me of the Chris Rock bit about how everyone forgave Michael Jackson for the first kid he was accused of molesting because of how good the Thriller album was. (And understatement of the century, Chi Ali is nowhere near the talent Michael Jackson was).
