 (Above photo credit: US Marshals) Press Release from US Marshals website: Kansas City, MO – Donnel Ramonte Rawls is wanted by the U.S. Marshals for homicide and feticide (causing the death of a fetus) that occurred February 16, 2015 in Atlanta, GA. Rawls is suspected in bludgeoning his girlfriend to death when she was 6 months pregnant, killing her and her unborn child in was described by Georgia investigators as the most gruesome murder scene they have ever seen. Over the past 5 months, Rawls has fled across multiple states in order to elude law enforcement throughout Georgia, Florida, Texas and Missouri. Rawls is now believed to be in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. He has extensive family and associates in the Kansas City area, some of whom are believed to be actively assisting him elude law enforcement. Rawls has an extensive criminal history which includes convictions for: kidnapping, rape, robbery, assault/battery, burglary/larceny, forgery/fraud, and providing false identification. Rawls is 40 years old, approximately 5’10”, 175lbs, and dresses respectfully. He has a tattoo on his left shoulder of a baseball with two crossed bats. Rawls is to be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by anyone but law enforcement. Rawls may be known to others by a different name. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads directly to his arrest if you contact the Marshals Service directly. I decided to add Rawls as a breaking news case based on this horrific crime and the new info he may be in the Kansas City Metro area. (Side note: I will be delaying the next "planned" exclusive case until at least next Wednesday since Rawls is our second breaking news case this week).
As horrible as this crime is, what places Rawls as even worse than other killers wanted for the murders of their pregnant wives or girlfriends is that long criminal history.
I'd say he's a good candidate to make the US Marshals Top 15 list one day, but let's catch him before they even need to add him.

Donnel Rawls is the type of fugitive who has chosen to abide by a life of violent crime for as long as he's on the streets. Not only has he killed the mother of his unborn child and committed rape, but with kidnapping, robbery and assault convictions, he could harm anyone, including the contacts that may be harboring him around Kansas City. If they are helping him and get arrested when Rawls is located, I really hope they felt it was worth it.

What is also crazy is what the heck he was doing out of jail in the first place considering all those multiple convictions. Heck, just the rape conviction alone should have put him away for at least decades.

P.s. still no word on if Rawls was ever in Kansas City and fled once the heat was on or if he was in Michigan the entire time. I guess we'll find out. The main thing is he's captured now.  |

Ok this is a tragic case but the reason Rawls' car was stopped in the first place leading to the arrest that ID'd him is pretty amusing. Apparently him and another man were going door-to-door trying to sell cleaning products. Suspicious neighbors called the police which then lead to them stopping the car he was in.
