Columbus police continued to search on Thursday for a North Side man they described as armed, dangerous and responsible for the fatal shootings of four people in South Linden last weekend.
Robert Lee Adams Jr., 27, has been charged with four counts of murder, five counts of kidnapping, five counts of robbery and one count of felonious assault.
He is accused of fatally shooting Tyajah Nelson, 18; Daniel Sharp, 26; Angela Harrison, 35; and Michael Ballour, 41, early Saturday.
Ballour was shot three times: in the neck, the right shoulder and the right arm, according to a preliminary autopsy report from the Franklin County coroner’s office. Each of the other three was shot in the head.
Ballour lived in the house where the shootings occurred, in the 1600 block of E. Hudson Street. He was Nelson’s father.
On Thursday, police released Adams’ photo on a “wanted” poster and warned the public not to approach him. They are asking anyone with information to call homicide detectives at 614-645-4730 or Crime Stoppers at 614-645-TIPS.
Adams was described as black, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 280 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
He was the shooter, police said.
In custody is Jordyn D. Wade, 16, of E. 13th Avenue in South Linden. He is accused of holding the victims at gunpoint to keep them in the basement, where they were shot.
Wade is charged with four delinquency counts of murder, one delinquency count of attempted murder and five delinquency counts of kidnapping. The attempted-murder charge is related to a fifth victim who survived.
On Wednesday, SWAT officers investigated a Meredith Drive residence listed for Adams in court documents, plus the Rosewind housing development in South Linden, which is near the shooting scene.
Court records show that Adams was sentenced to a year in prison in 2008 for armed robbery and nine months in prison in 2006 for felonious assault with a handgun and having a weapon under disability.
