Cold case murder suspect Danny Joseph Gordon was aired on the November 12th, 2005 episode of America's Most Wanted. Below is the archive description of the case:
Cops: Violent Drug Dealer Wanted For Murder
Cops in Columbus, Ohio are still looking for a fugitive who's been on the run for more than a decade. Cops say Danny Joseph Gordon is a violent drug dealer who shot a woman in cold blood back in 1992.
According to police, on January 16, 1992, Gordon was hanging out at a local house with a few friends and was sitting next to a young woman on the couch. In an instant, cops say Gordon fired a round, shooting the young woman in the neck and killing her.
Cops then say Gordon calmly removed the clip, handed it to a friend and took off.
Hours later, Gordon was arrested on drug charges. Cops say he admitted to the shooting, but claimed the gun went off accidentally. While waiting for forensics to come back on the gun, Gordon made bond and took off. He hasn't been seen since.
But now that Ohio police have reached out to AMW, Gordon's days of being a fugitive may very well come to an end.
Thoughts? I checked the Franklin County, Oh court system and there is still a warrant out for Gordon's arrest. So that "may very well come to an end" has now reached nearly a decade after his airing. The problem with cold case fugitives is obviously- all people change. They become older, get more grey hair, become fatter (or in some cases actually lose weight), etc. But the one thing that doesn't change is there is usually someone out there who knows exactly who they are. So if you know where Danny Joseph Gordon is, it's time to do the right thing and finally call him into authorities.
