INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Detectives in Indianapolis said on Wednesday they were re-releasing a public service announcement on the anniversary of a fatal hit-and-run. Police say on March 4, 2011, 13-year-old Hadleigh Cave was walking southbound on South Franklin Road when she was hit by a car and thrown from the roadway. The driver did not stop to help or even call 911. Detectives continue to look for a Toyota Camry between the model years of 2002 and 2006. The vehicle would have damage on the passenger side and the passenger side mirror. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477(TIPS) or 800-222-8477(TIPS). You can also text “INDYCS” plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Anonymous tips may also be submitted at www.CrimeTips.org. R Thoughts? It was originally reported Hadleigh and her friends may have been playing a game of "chicken" before she was hit. While any young kid who learns of this tragedy hopefully takes this to heart, it's ok to be a kid and horse around but don't put yourself in danger, it also doesn't excuse whoever hit Hadleigh not stopping or calling 911. Instead, he left a teenage girl to die on the road and did nothing about it. wishtv.com/2015/03/04/police-continue-to-look-for-hit-and-driver-4-years-later/hensleylegal.com/news/car-accident-news/teen-playing-chicken-franklin-road-killed-hit-run/www.indystar.com/article/20110308/LOCAL1801/103080355/Hit-run-victim-identified-Hadleigh-Cave-13
