Fugitive Profile as of June 29th, 2015 (Based on FBI.Gov wanted poster) Aliases: Michael D. Bowman, Michael Bowman, Muhammad Bilal Elamin, Muhammad Bilal El, Muhammad El Amin Date(s) of Birth Used: May 20, 1975 Place of Birth: New York Height: 6'2" Weight: 180 pounds Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Sex: Male Race: Black Nationality: American Remarks: El-Amin may wear eyeglasses. He may wear his hair in dread locks or twists. He is known to carry a gun in his rear waistband. TIPS: If you have any information concerning this person, please contact your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.Muhammed Bilal El-Amin has been wanted by Atlanta authorities for over 20 years. He's also had a federal arrest warrant since 2001. As far as I know, he was never aired on AMW. Below is the FBI website description of the case: "Muhammed Bilal El-Amin is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of a man in Atlanta, Georgia. On November 27, 1994, El-Amin allegedly shot a man in the face with a handgun at the Oakland Street train station. The man died of his wounds. After a local arrest warrant was issued for El-Amin charging him with murder, a federal arrest warrant charging him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued in the United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia, on May 25, 2001." Thoughts? Unfortunately, the details are sketchy as to why the victim was shot. I assume it might have been as the result of an argument, because why else would El-Amin shoot him. His FBI profile says he was born in New York, so, in my opinion, that should be considered a possibility. www.fbi.gov/wanted/murders/muhammed-bilal-el-amin/viewAdmin Note: If you have any news-related updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

As of 1/7/2018, El-Amin is still listed as a wanted fugitive on both the FBI's website and Atlanta Crime Stoppers.

The FBI has Muhammed El-Amin on the home page of their site for this week. This got me thinking that an age-enhanced photo would be very helpful to have. The last photos we have of him are from the early 1990s and he would look really different when comparing him in his late teens to his mid 40s.

El-Amin is accused of murdering Jafferd Acacia Tucker, "kharile". The few articles I could find on the case misspell the victim's name as Jefferd and Jeffered, he was 18. JAT had a record out of the Atlanta area for drug possession with intent to sell in 1993, and El-Amin has a felony record for theft (1993) from when he was 17. I haven't been able to find much more on El-Amin's family or his history. Grave: nl.billiongraves.com/grave/Jafferd-A-Tucker/29864083

Hello bigred, welcome to the forum and thank you for the information!
It of course does not excuse Tucker's murder that he had a criminal record, but it is still helpful to more information on the case itself.
Quite frankly, I'm very surprised it's been 25 years already and El-Amin is still out there.

Thank you as well for the information bigred!
I checked Newspapers.com and found an article from November 28, 1994 about Jaffered Tucker's murder from the previous day. It doesn't mention Muammed El-Amin so I'm assuming he wasn't identified at the time. However, it does mention Jaffered was shot at the Oakland Street train station on November 27th, so this has to be the same case.

I would note the huge gap in time between the murder and when the federal warrant was issued. My guess is they thought he was a local fugitive or he was still in the State of Georgia until they received a tip or information that he had fled Georgia.
