Former Priest Wanted On Charges of Child Molestation
California cops are trying to track down a man they say befriended dozens of young boys and then molested them. In 1975, Jesus Armando Dominguez was a "brother" within the Catholic Church. He worked as a teacher at Bishop Mora Catholic High School in Los Angeles, obtaining financial assistance for low-income students to go to college.
In 1982, Dominguez became a priest at Our Lady of Soledad in Cochela, CA. He gave Mass with lively sermons and worked closely with the altar boys. Soon, police say the altar boys found that Dominguez had another agenda.
Alleged Acts Continue, More Boys Victimized
Thirteen-year-old "Bobby" was an altar boy for the Catholic church were Dominguez was a priest. Dominguez befriended Bobby and often took him to the movies and out to eat. After three months of gaining the boy's confidence, cops say Dominguez molested Bobby, often forcing the young boy to perform oral sex. According to officials, Dominguez molested Bobby numerous times in the church rectory before mass.
When Dominguez was transferred to Saint James Catholic Church in Perris, CA in 1987, cops say molestation continued. According to authorities, Dominguez continued to molest Bobby along with other boys, ranging from 13-17 years old.
Priest Arrested, Convicted, Flees
In 2001, Dominguez was arrested for soliciting a 15-year-old boy to take nude photos. He was convicted of child annoying, a misdemeanor. But, Dominguez only received probation and had to register as a sex offender. Then, he disappeared.
Recently, four men have come forward saying Father Dominguez had sex with them in the mid-80's. Now, police need your help to help track down this convicted sex offender accused of 58 counts of molestation.
Thoughts? I put 2001 as the wanted year since that's when Father Dominguez was last seen and it seems the allegations from the 80's didn't come to light until then as well.
As far as I can tell, Dominguez was still at large as of this posting date (6/23/2015) since I couldn't find anything suggesting otherwise. Although, and how's this for coincidence, this year, someone sued and accused a Notre Dame Priest named Jesus Armando Dominguez of molesting him in a San Antonio orphanage in the 1980's. It's different cities and places and the photo is different if you take a look. But as common a name as Jesus Dominguez may be, having two guys with the same middle name, both priests, and both accused of molestation in the 1980's is pretty crazy.
