The Agua Prieta Police Dept. in Mexico in association with the Cochise County Sheriff's Office and FBI in Arizona have been wondering about the disappearance of Omar Vargas for twenty years. Based on the AMW web archives, he may have been featured sometime in the Late 1990s, but it is unclear if the case was featured further than that. Omar Vargas disappeared from Agua Prieta, Mexico on April 22, 1995. Police say Omar's family stopped in Agua Prieta, just six miles from the Arizona border, to visit friends and attend a religious conference that took place in a huge lot with hundreds of people. Omar stood beside his dad as his father walked through the crowd and greeted friends. When his father turned around moments later, Omar was gone. The only clue police have in Omar's abduction is a sketch of a Hispanic man who is approximately 18-20 years old who has dark hair and dark eyes. The man has a short mustache and a slender build. Not a lot to work with unfortunately. There were many people around- but 20 years later I take it if anyone knew anything they would have came forward by now.

Just wanted to mention sometime in the past year the NCMC did a computer-enhanced age progression sketch of what Omar may look like at age 24. (Circa 2015).

David I am assuming you are Omar's father or a relative in some way since you say you wish to see Omar in person.
My thoughts go out to you and I hope one day you do indeed get to see Omar again.
